TraderSync vs Tradervue (October 2026)

Last checked: October 22, 2026. We read both companies' public pricing pages on that date. Prices change; check each site before you buy.

The short answer. Tradervue and TraderSync are both trading journals that import your broker trades, chart them and report on them, and both now have a free plan. Tradervue keeps things simple: two paid plans, Silver at $29.95 and Gold at $49.95 a month, with community trade sharing and mentoring built in. TraderSync costs the same at the entry tier ($29.95 Pro) and adds an AI assistant (Cypher), a market replay simulator for practice and backtesting, crypto support and mobile apps; its plans are $29.95, $49.95 and $79.95 a month, each with a 7-day free trial. TraderSync's free Basic plan needs no credit card, never expires, and includes unlimited manual trades plus 30 file-imported executions a month. Choose Tradervue for a focused, community-oriented journal; choose TraderSync if you want AI review, replay practice or crypto in the same place.

Annual billing: Tradervue's pricing page shows no annual prices. TraderSync's yearly prices are $179.70 (Pro, $14.97/mo), $299.70 (Premium, $24.97/mo) and $479.70 (Elite, $39.98/mo), the amounts actually charged.

A note on numbers you may see elsewhere: Tradervue's own "TraderSync alternative" page lists its plans at "$29 / month" and "$49 / month". Its pricing page shows $29.95 and $49.95. We use the pricing page.

Same price, different bundle. At $29.95 and $49.95 the two products cost the same. The difference is what each tier includes: Tradervue's tiers are about reporting depth (Gold adds risk reports, exit analysis, liquidity reports and commission support). TraderSync's tiers are about AI allowance and replay precision (Cypher 5 → 15 → 60 messages a day; replay 1-minute → 1-second → 250 ms), and the Elite tier adds options in market replay (per /pricing/, ).

Where Tradervue is the better choice

Tradervue has been around a long time and does the core job well. On its own published plan details, it is ahead here:

  • Community and mentoring. Sharing trades with the Tradervue community and unlimited mentors and mentees are on both paid plans. If your trading group or mentor already uses Tradervue, that alone can decide it.
  • Unlimited accounts at the entry price. Silver includes unlimited trading accounts and unlimited imports.
  • Liquidity reports (Gold): performance split by whether you added or removed liquidity, which Tradervue describes as "essential data for the active intraday equity trader".
  • Chart types. Renko, Volume Bar and Range Bar charts are on both plans.
  • A cheaper top tier. Tradervue's highest plan is $49.95; TraderSync's Elite is $79.95. If you need neither AI nor tick-level replay, Gold gives you its full report set for less.
  • Simplicity. Two plans, a clear feature list, no AI allowance to keep track of.

Where TraderSync is the better choice

  • An AI assistant on your own data. Cypher answers questions about your trades in plain language, for example "show me the P&L of my strategies over the last 3 months, excluding Fridays, and their profit factor", and can point out where breaking your plan cost you money. 5, 15 or 60 messages a day by plan. Tradervue's pricing page lists no AI feature.
  • Practice and backtesting in the same product. Market Replay lets you trade historical sessions for stocks, futures, crypto and forex, and options on Elite, with Time & Sales and, for US stocks, Level II; an automated AI backtester runs a strategy you describe in English on stocks, forex and crypto. Tradervue's pricing page lists no replay, simulator or backtester.
  • Replay your own trades. Trade Replay rewinds the market around your fills, down to 250 ms on Elite.
  • Crypto. TraderSync supports crypto trades; Tradervue's pricing page lists stocks, ETFs, futures, forex and options.
  • A free plan with its limits in writing. No card, no expiry, unlimited manual trades and 30 file-imported executions a month, P&L charts and the overview dashboard. You start on a demo account. See the free trading journal plan.
  • Commission and fee handling at the entry price. Auto-applied fees and commissions are listed on our plans and the commission and fee settings are part of Pro; on Tradervue they are Gold only.
  • Mobile apps on iOS and Android.
  • Trade plans. Write your rules (time filters, risk limits, position limits) and see how often you followed them.

AI: Cypher vs no AI

This is the biggest functional difference. Tradervue's pricing page, read on October 22, 2026, lists no AI assistant. TraderSync includes Cypher on every paid plan.

What Cypher is for, in practice:

  • Questions you would otherwise build a report for. "Which setup has the best profit factor this quarter?" "Do my afternoon trades lose more than morning trades?"
  • Plan adherence. How much did trades that broke my plan cost me, and when do I break it?
  • A weekly review partner. Ask it to summarize the week before you write your own notes.

Limits are daily: 5 messages on Pro, 15 on Premium, 60 on Elite. Cypher Coach adds feedback based on your trading behavior. It is listed on all three paid plans and is proactive: it can compose up to three coaching turns a day when you open the dashboard. If you do not want AI in your journal, it does not get in the way: the reports, tags and charts work on their own.

Replay and backtesting

Tradervue is a journal: it looks back at trades you took, with charts and reports. TraderSync adds two forward-looking tools.

  • Trade Replay (all paid plans) rewatches market price action around your own trades "down to 250 milliseconds, for both trades and quotes".
  • Market Replay lets you practice on historical sessions. Its pricing page lists precision as 1-minute candles on Pro, 1 second on Premium and 250 ms on Elite. Widgets include Key Stats, screeners, Level II, Time & Sales, a watchlist and an options chain. Level II replay is for stocks; Time & Sales for stocks, crypto and futures. TraderSync also has an automated AI backtester that starts from a plain-English description of the strategy.

If you only want to review what already happened, Tradervue covers it. If you also want to rehearse a setup before risking money, TraderSync does both in one account.

Broker sync and imports

TraderSync works with 700+ integrations across stocks, options, futures, forex and crypto. MetaTrader 4 and 5 accounts sync automatically; file import also works. Platforms named on our supported brokers page include Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, TradeStation, DAS Trader, Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, Webull and Robinhood (read October 22, 2026). Of those, Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, TradeStation, DAS Trader, Tradovate and NinjaTrader connect for automatic sync (a paid-plan feature); Rithmic, Webull and Robinhood import by file.

Tradervue lists "Broker Sync" and "Unlimited Trade Imports" on both paid plans and has broker pages for TradeStation, Interactive Brokers, Lightspeed, TradeZero, DAS, Sterling and E-Trade in its footer.

Either way, look up your own broker on both sites before you choose, and check whether it syncs automatically or needs a file upload.

Free plans compared

Both products now have a free plan. The difference is what is written down.

TraderSync Basic (free): no credit card, no trial, no expiry. Unlimited manual trade entry, 30 file-imported executions per calendar month, P&L charts and the overview dashboard. Onboarding starts with a demo account. When you hit the monthly import limit, keep adding trades by hand or upgrade. Start on the free trading journal page.

Tradervue Free: Tradervue offers a free plan (its help center refers to the "Free" plan section in billing settings, , and its pricing page says you can "switch to a free plan" before a trial ends, ). Its pricing page does not list the free plan's limits, so check them in its sign-up flow.

Trials: TraderSync paid plans have a 7-day free trial. Tradervue's pricing page says the card is "automatically charged when the trial period is up, unless you switch to a free plan before the end of the trial period".

Who should pick which

Pick Tradervue if:

  • Your mentor or trading room already uses Tradervue, or you want community trade sharing and mentoring on the entry plan.
  • You trade intraday equities and want liquidity reports.
  • You want a straightforward journal with no AI, and Gold's report set at $49.95 is all you need.
  • You like Renko, volume or range bar charts for review.

Pick TraderSync if:

  • You want an AI assistant that answers questions about your own trades and plan adherence.
  • You want to practice or backtest on historical data in the same product you journal in.
  • You trade crypto alongside stocks, options, futures or forex.
  • You want a free plan whose limits are stated up front, or a 7-day trial on any paid plan.
  • You review on your phone.
  • You trade on MetaTrader 4/5 and want the account to sync automatically.

Either works if: you day trade US stocks or futures at a mainstream broker and need automatic import, charts with your entries and exits, P&L, MFE/MAE and tags. At $29.95 the entry price is identical, so judge on your own trades: start a TraderSync trial.

Switching from Tradervue to TraderSync

  1. Create a TraderSync account at my.tradersync.com/register. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial; or start on the free plan.
  2. Connect your broker for automatic sync, or import your broker's trade file. Tradervue lists "Download/Export to Excel" on both plans, but Tradervue is not on TraderSync's list of brokers, so import from your broker rather than from a Tradervue export.
  3. Recreate your tags so your history is grouped the same way, and write your trade plan rules.
  4. Run both journals side by side for a week and compare daily P&L before you cancel anything.

How we compared

We read the public pricing page of each product on October 22, 2026, plus Tradervue's help center (for the free plan) and its TraderSync comparison page (for the trial length and its webinars). We parsed Tradervue's feature table plan by plan from the page markup. We did not test Tradervue with a paid account. Where Tradervue's pages do not mention a feature, we wrote "not listed" rather than "no". We are TraderSync, so we have an interest; we have tried to state where Tradervue is stronger as plainly as where we are. Found an error about either product? Tell us through the contact page and we will fix it and update the date.
