TraderSync vs TradeZella (October 2026)

Last checked: October 22, 2026. We read both companies' public pricing pages on that date. Prices change; check each site before you buy.

The short answer. TraderSync and TradeZella are both trading journals that import your trades, analyze them and add AI on top. The biggest practical differences in October 2026 are price and the free option. TraderSync's monthly plans are $29.95, $49.95 and $79.95, every paid plan has a 7-day free trial, and there is a free Basic plan with no credit card and no expiry (unlimited manual trades and 30 file-imported executions per month). TradeZella's monthly plans are $35, $59 and $99 (or $315, $531 and $891 per year), and its pricing page offers no free plan and no trial. TradeZella is stronger on community and education (Mentor Mode, Spaces, Zella University). TraderSync is stronger on replay precision (its pricing page lists 250 milliseconds on Elite), on mobile apps, and on letting you start for free. On annual billing TraderSync costs $179.70, $299.70 and $479.70 a year (about $14.97, $24.97 and $39.98 a month), which is 43%, 44% and 46% less than TradeZella's $315, $531 and $891.

A note on older numbers you may see: TradeZella's own comparison page (dated June 2026) lists its plans at $29 and $49 per month. Its pricing page on October 22, 2026 shows $35, $59 and $99. We use the pricing page.

What the money buys at the entry tier. TradeZella Essential ($35) connects 1 account, includes 500 AI credits a month, does not include Zella Agents, automated AI backtesting or trade replay, and lets you save 10 manual-backtesting strategies. TraderSync Pro ($29.95) lists 5 Cypher messages per day, Cypher Coach, Trade Replay, an automated AI backtester, and Market Replay on stocks, futures, crypto and forex. Account limits per plan are on the /pricing/ page.

How to read this table: "Listed" means the company's own pricing page names the feature. We only list what we could read on each site. A blank is not a "no"; it means the page did not say.

Where TradeZella is the better choice

We would rather you pick the right tool than the wrong one. On TradeZella's own published plan details, it is ahead in these areas:

  • Community and mentoring. Mentor Mode and Spaces let you share your journal with a mentor or a trading group. If a coach or a group reviews your trades every week, this is built in.
  • Education in the product. Zella University (webinars and courses) is part of every plan.
  • Published backtesting allowances. On Pro and Ultra you can describe a strategy in plain English and Zella runs it over historical data, 10 or 100 runs a month. TraderSync also has an automated AI backtester, but it does not publish a per-plan run count, so there is nothing to compare line by line.
  • AI agents that run on every import. Auto-tagging and session review run automatically on Pro and Ultra.
  • Many accounts at the middle tier. TradeZella Pro connects up to 50 accounts.

Where TraderSync is the better choice

  • You can start for free and stay free. The Basic plan has no credit card, no trial and no expiry. You get unlimited manual trade entry, 30 file-imported executions per calendar month, P&L charts and the overview dashboard, and you start on a demo account so you can see the product before you upload anything. See the free trading journal plan.
  • Lower monthly prices at every tier. $29.95 vs $35, $49.95 vs $59, $79.95 vs $99 (monthly billing; on annual billing the gap is wider: 43%, 44% and 46% less).
  • A 7-day free trial on every paid plan, so you can test the paid features on your own trades.
  • Replay precision. TraderSync's pricing page lists replay one second at a time on Premium and every 250 milliseconds on Elite, with Time & Sales for stocks, crypto and futures and Level II for US stocks. TradeZella lists 1-second resolution. For scalpers who review fills tick by tick, the extra precision matters.
  • Mobile apps on iOS and Android, where TradeZella described itself as web-only in June 2026.
  • Broader integration count. 700+ integrations, including MetaTrader 4 and 5 accounts that sync automatically, vs TradeZella's "500+".

AI: Cypher vs Zella AI

Both products put an AI assistant on top of your trade history, and both meter it.

TraderSync Cypher is an AI assistant you can ask about your own trades, for example "show me the P&L of my strategies over the last 3 months, excluding Fridays" or "how much did breaking my plan cost me". Pro includes 5 messages a day, Premium 15 and Elite 60. Cypher Coach adds feedback based on your trading behavior, is listed on all three paid plans, and is proactive: it can compose up to three coaching turns a day when you open the dashboard.

TradeZella Zella AI uses monthly credits: 500 on Essential, 1,500 on Pro and 3,000 on Ultra. Each action (chat, session review, auto-tagging, reports) spends credits. On Pro and Ultra, three agents run automatically: Trade Auto-Tagging, Trade Review and Market Sentiment Analysis.

Which metering suits you? If you ask a few focused questions a day, a daily message allowance is simple to reason about. If you want the AI to tag and review every imported trade automatically, TradeZella's agent model is built for that, from its Pro tier. A note on accuracy: TradeZella's comparison page says Cypher is "locked to its Elite tier" in one place and gives the 5 / 15 / 60 per-plan limits in another. Our pricing page lists Cypher on all three paid plans.

Replay and backtesting

These are different jobs, and the two products split them differently.

  • Reviewing your own trades on the chart (trade replay). TraderSync lets you rewatch the market around your own trades "down to 250 milliseconds, for both trades and quotes". TradeZella's Trade Replay is on Pro and Ultra, at 1-second precision, with AI insights layered on.
  • Practicing on historical data (market replay / manual backtesting). On its pricing page, TraderSync's Market Replay covers stocks, futures, crypto and forex on every paid plan and adds stock options on Elite, with precision listed as 1-minute on Pro, 1-second on Premium and 250 ms on Elite. Level II (US stocks only), Time & Sales (stocks, crypto, futures), screeners, watchlists and an options chain are available as widgets. TradeZella's bar-by-bar backtesting uses 11+ years of data at 1-second resolution, with 10 saved strategies on Essential and unlimited above.
  • Automated backtesting from a written rule. TradeZella's "Backtest in Plain English" is on Pro (10 runs) and Ultra (100 runs). TraderSync's automated backtester also starts from a plain-English description of the strategy and runs on stocks, forex and crypto; its pricing page does not list a run count.

If you trade US stocks and care about the order book at the moment of your fill, TraderSync's Level II replay (US stocks only) is the closer match, and its Elite plan lists 250 ms precision. If you want a published monthly allowance of automated backtests, TradeZella states one (10 or 100 runs); TraderSync has the feature but states no number.

Broker sync and imports

TraderSync works with 700+ integrations, across stocks, options, futures, forex and crypto. MetaTrader 4 and 5 accounts sync automatically, and you can always import a file instead. Brokers and platforms named on our supported-broker page include Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, TradeStation, Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, DAS Trader, Webull, Robinhood, TopstepX and FTMO (tradersync.com/supported-broker/, read October 22, 2026). Of those, Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, TradeStation, Tradovate, NinjaTrader and DAS Trader connect for automatic sync, and so do FTMO's MetaTrader accounts; Rithmic, Webull, Robinhood, TopstepX and FTMO's other platforms import by file. Automatic sync is part of the paid plans.

TradeZella says it supports "500+ broker and prop firm integrations that sync your trades automatically".

Check your own broker on both lists before you choose. A larger count does not help if your broker is not on it, and some integrations are file imports rather than automatic sync. Ours: supported brokers.

Free options compared

This is the clearest difference between the two products today.

TraderSync Basic (free): no credit card, no trial, no expiry. Unlimited manual trade entry, 30 file-imported executions per calendar month, P&L charts and the overview dashboard. Onboarding starts with a demo account. When you reach the monthly import limit you can keep adding trades by hand or upgrade. Sign up through the free trading journal page.

TradeZella: the pricing page lists three paid plans and no free plan or free trial. Its site does list free trading calculators (navigation: "Free Trading Tools").

If you are new, trade a few times a week, or want to see whether journaling sticks before you pay, the free plan is the lower-risk way to start.

Who should pick which

Pick TradeZella if:

  • A mentor or a trading group reviews your journal, and you want that built in (Mentor Mode, Spaces).
  • You want structured education inside the same product (Zella University).
  • You want a published monthly allowance of automated backtests (10 on Pro, 100 on Ultra) over years of data, and you will pay for the Pro tier or higher to get it.
  • You run many accounts and want up to 50 at the middle tier.

Pick TraderSync if:

  • You want to start free, with no card and no expiry, and upgrade only if you need more imports or features.
  • Monthly price matters: every TraderSync tier is cheaper per month than the matching TradeZella tier (on annual billing TraderSync is also cheaper: $179.70 vs $315, $299.70 vs $531, $479.70 vs $891).
  • You scalp or day trade and want tick-level replay (250 ms listed on Elite) with Time & Sales, and Level II for US stocks.
  • You review trades on your phone.
  • You trade on MetaTrader 4/5 and want the account to sync automatically.
  • You want an AI assistant you can ask direct questions about your own trades and your plan adherence.

Either works if: you day trade US stocks or futures at a mainstream broker, want automatic import, P&L, MFE/MAE, tags and exit analysis. Both have those. Try TraderSync free and judge it on your own trades.

Switching from TradeZella to TraderSync

  1. Create a TraderSync account at my.tradersync.com/register. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial.
  2. Connect your broker (automatic sync on paid plans) or import your broker's trade file. Import from your broker, not from TradeZella: TradeZella is not on TraderSync's list of brokers.
  3. Recreate your tags and your trade plan rules so your history is grouped the same way.
  4. Run your old and new journal side by side for a week and compare P&L by day before you cancel anything.

How we compared

We read the public pricing page of each product on October 22, 2026 and used only what those pages say, plus TradeZella's own comparison page for one statement (that it was web-only as of June 2026). We did not test TradeZella with a paid account. Where a TradeZella feature is shown only as an icon on its pricing page, we did not guess which plan has it. We are TraderSync, so we have an obvious interest; we have tried to state where TradeZella is stronger as plainly as where we are. If you spot an error about either product, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it and update the date.

Does TradeZella have a free plan or free trial?

Its pricing page, read on October 22, 2026, lists three paid plans (Essential, Pro, Ultra) and does not offer a free plan or a free trial. TraderSync offers a free Basic plan with no credit card and no expiry, and a 7-day free trial on every paid plan.

Which has better AI, TraderSync Cypher or TradeZella Zella AI?

They are metered differently. Cypher gives you 5, 15 or 60 messages per day depending on the plan and answers questions about your own trades; Cypher Coach adds proactive feedback. Zella AI uses 500, 1,500 or 3,000 monthly credits, and on its Pro and Ultra plans three agents tag and review trades automatically. Choose by how you want to use AI: asking questions, or automatic review of every trade.

Which is better for scalpers?

TraderSync's pricing page lists replay every 250 milliseconds on Elite and one second at a time on Premium, with Time & Sales for stocks, crypto and futures and Level II for US stocks. TradeZella lists 1-second resolution. If you review fast fills at sub-second detail, TraderSync is the closer fit.

How many brokers does each support?

TraderSync works with 700+ integrations; many brokers sync automatically on paid plans (including MetaTrader 4/5 accounts) and the rest import by file. TradeZella's pricing page says "500+ broker and prop firm integrations". Check your own broker on each list, and whether it syncs automatically or needs a file import.

Does TradeZella have a mobile app?

TradeZella's own comparison page (June 2026) says "TradeZella is currently web-only". TraderSync has apps for iOS and Android. Check TradeZella's site for any change since June.
