Account Balance

Account Balance

Definition
An estimate of your total account value, combining trade results with manually entered portfolio adjustments (e.g., deposits, withdrawals, fees).

Formula
Account Balance = Accumulative Return $ + Sum of Portfolio Adjustments

Example

  • Let’s say your Accumulative Return $ is $500.
  • You’ve manually entered the following portfolio adjustments:
    • Deposit: +$1000
    • Withdrawal: -$200
    • Locate Fee: -$25

Your Account Balance would be: $500 + $1000 – $200 – $25 = $1275

Key Points

  • Overall Account Value: Provides a broader picture of your account’s financial standing beyond pure trade results.
  • Manual Input Required: Emphasizes the importance of accurate record-keeping within TraderSync to maintain the accuracy of this metric.

Considerations

  • Manual Adjustments: TraderSync requires you to manually input account adjustments to maintain accuracy, as many brokers don’t report these details automatically.
  • Broker Discrepancies: Differences in how brokers report account adjustments can lead to variations between your TraderSync balance and the broker’s balance.
