- Click on the trade you want to separate the executions from, to open its Trade Detail page.
- In the executions table, select the checkboxes for the executions you want to separate.
- Click the action menu (⋮) and select “Split Trade.”
- A confirmation dialog will appear: “Are you sure you want to split the selected execution into a new trade?” It explains that both trades will be recalculated and will remain open until you merge or edit them, and that realized P&L will change. Check “I understand both trades will stay open,” then click “Split anyway” to confirm.
- Result: the selected execution(s) move into a brand-new, separate trade. Both the original and the new trade become open positions (their prior realized P&L resets), since each now only has one side of the original entry/exit pair. You’ll need to add matching executions, merge, or edit either trade to close them again.
