Forex in lots, crypto in coins: enter the trade the way your platform shows it and the P&L comes out right.
- Open the Accounts page and click the + at the end of a manual account’s row. To start a new manual account instead, click Add New Account and pick Manual Entry. The Add Manually tab opens.
- Open Market / Asset and choose Forex or Crypto (Stock, Options and Futures are in the same list).
- Open Symbol, start typing, and pick the symbol from the list, for example EURUSD. Click the match instead of leaving the text half typed: the form asks you to select the symbol from the list.
- Set Action to Buy or Sell, and check the Date and Time. Both start on the current moment.
- Enter the size. For forex the box is Lots: 1 is a standard lot (100,000 units), 0.1 is a mini lot and 0.01 is a micro lot. For crypto the box is Quantity (coins): type the number of coins. On the few exchanges whose contracts are not one coin, the box counts contracts and pre-fills the contract size, so the P&L still comes out right.
- Type the Price, and add Commissions and Fees if you paid any.
- To record the exit, click Add Execution. The new execution shares the market and symbol, so set its Action to the opposite side (Sell to close a buy), then enter its size, price, date and time.
- Click Save. A green message confirms the trade was imported, and it shows up with its P&L.
Tip: for a partial exit, enter a smaller size on the second execution; the rest stays open.
