How can I add portfolio adjustment to a portfolio?

Log deposits and withdrawals on an account so its growth and return percentages stay honest.

  1. Go to the Accounts page.
  2. Click the arrow at the right end of the account’s row to expand it. The Adjustments table opens under the row.
  3. Click Add Adjustment (or the + at the top right of the table).
  4. In the New Adjustment window, choose the Adjustment type: Deposit, Withdraw, Internal Transfer, Broker Interest Paid, Account Transfer, Other Fees, Interest You Paid or Dividend Cash, among others.
  5. Set the Date and enter the Value. The Description is optional.
  6. Need to log another one? Click Add Another. When you are done, click Submit.

The adjustment appears in the table, and the Cash In / Out column of the account adds up your deposits, withdrawals, fees and interest. This is separate from your trading P&L.

To change an adjustment later, click the pencil at the end of its row, edit it and save. To remove it, click the trash can and confirm with Yes, Delete.

For a percentage view of your performance, add the PnL Net % widget to your Dashboard. It uses the initial balance of your account as the starting point, and assumes $0 if none is set.
