Trading Canadian stocks in an account that shows USD? Set the currency on that one account, without touching your display currency.
- Go to the Accounts page and click the three dots on the account’s row.
- Choose Change Currency. The Edit Account window opens.
- Open Source currency, type the code or name of the currency (for example CAD), and pick it. This is the currency the instruments in this account are priced in, not the currency your broker reports profit in.
- Below it, Display currency is greyed out: it applies to all your accounts and is changed in Settings then General.
- Click Save. The account now shows its currency tag in the list.
Tip: click Reset to default in the same window to go back to the default currency.
