Cypher can do busywork for you, such as tagging trades, but it never changes your data on its own. It shows you what it wants to do first, and you decide.
- Open Cypher and ask in plain words, for example: “Tag my 3 biggest winning trades in October 2025 with the Bear Flag setup.” Press Enter or click the send arrow.
- Wait for Cypher to finish working. Instead of changing anything, it shows a proposal card with a summary of the change (for example “Add Bear Flag to 3 trades”) and the tags involved.
- Click Show affected trades on the card to open the list. Each trade is listed with the reason Cypher picked it, so you can check them before you decide.
- Click Confirm to apply the change, or Cancel to drop it. Nothing is touched until you click Confirm.
- Once you have decided, the card turns into a single line, such as Cancelled., and the buttons disappear. If you reopen the conversation later, the card shows that same finished state and never asks again.
Changed your mind after confirming? Open the trade and remove the tag there, like any other tag. You can also ask Cypher to create a new setup, mistake or custom tag, and it will show the same Confirm / Cancel card first.
