How can I see how my results would change with a What If scenario?

Want to see how much a habit is costing you, like oversizing? A What If scenario reruns your results as if you had left those trades out, and puts the result next to your real numbers.

  1. In Reports, open Performance > What If.
  2. Click New Scenario. You can have two scenarios at a time, A and B. A new one starts equal to your original results.
  3. Click Add Filter and choose what defines the scenario, for example Mistake. Add more filters to narrow it further.
  4. Choose Does not match any of and tick Oversized. Scenario B now shows your trading without the trades tagged with that mistake.
  5. Compare the lines. Original is your real results; each scenario has its own colour. The tabs above the chart (PnL, Averages, Performance, Drawdown, Trades, Hold Time, Commissions, Advanced) group the metrics.
  6. Click any card in Market Stats to change the metric the chart shows. Each card lists Original (O) and every scenario, with the change in percent.
  7. Use the arrow at the top right to collapse or expand the scenarios and get more room for the cards.
  8. To remove a scenario, click the x at the top right of its card. Use the trash icon on a filter to remove just that filter.

What If always looks at all of your trades, so it does not follow the Date range of the top bar.
