Want to know what your off-plan trades really cost you? Plan Builder puts a number on it, for the last 30 days, so you can see what following your own plan would be worth.
- Open Plan Builder and select your plan from the title menu at the top left.
- Read the top card, Your discipline upside. Its headline is what your off-plan trades netted, so a winning rule-break makes it smaller, and it also shows what your on-plan trades netted for comparison.
- Check the chart On-plan vs off-plan, over time. The green line follows your on-plan trades and the red line your off-plan trades.
- Under the chart, the tiles show your Off-plan cost, your Adherence (the share of all the trades in the plan’s window that followed it; trades you haven’t graded yet count as followed) and your Off-plan trades (how many of your trades broke a rule).
- Click the i icon next to “Your discipline upside” (How this is calculated) to read how the numbers are built. The money is what the trades that broke a rule actually netted; it is not what you would have made by avoiding them.
- Scroll down to the list Where your cost went (Trades that broke a rule when there is nothing off-plan). Each row shows the close date, the symbol, the Rule broken and the net result.
- Use Show trial rules above the list to include the trades flagged by trial rules, which are left out of the headline number.
Trades that could not be graded yet count in your total, but never as a violation.
